Role-Based Access Control
Control and secure your cloud cost data effortlessly with Amnic's new Role-Based Access Control for Custom Views.
We’re excited to announce a powerful new feature in Amnic: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) on Custom Views! This enhancement is designed to give you more control over how you share and manage cost information within your organization.
With this update, you can now tailor access and permissions more precisely, manage cloud costs easily and ensure that sensitive data is only accessible to those who need it. We’ve also simplified the roles and permissions at the organizational level to offer you greater flexibility and control over how you manage your team’s access to cloud cost information.
Granular Permissions When Sharing Custom Views
Create and share custom views with specific members of your team while controlling their level of access. Customize views with specific data and charts to match the needs of your business. Set roles such as Editor or Viewer on custom views. As a user with Editor permissions on a custom view, you can create, update, and schedule reports, ensuring that only those with the appropriate access levels will receive the information they need—no more, no less.
Introduction of the Observer Role
Explore the new Observer role at the organizational level. Observers can view custom views shared with them but have limited access to other features, enabling access control on sensitive cost data. This role is ideal for team members who need to review cost information but are not expected to modify the data or access other settings.
Refined Role Management
Additionally, all organizational roles on Amnic have undergone an update. These roles and their permissions now include:
Owner: The Owner and Admins have the same level of access. The Owner is the creator of the org and can add more members as Admins. This is the highest level of permissions granted within Amnic.
Admin: Like Owners, Admins have full access to the Amnic portal with no limitations.
Collaborator: Collaborators can view and interact with custom views and other Amnic features but have fewer permissions compared to Admins. They can’t update billing information, add admins, or add/remove billing accounts but can manage and use nearly all of the day-to-day functionality in Amnic.
Observer: Observers are limited to viewing custom views shared with them and don’t have access to other features.
